Plan B Film HK presents a powerful narrative-driven campaign for KATE TOKYO, starring professional figure skater Maisy Ma (馬曉晴). Titled "Rising Above," the film explores the Japanese proverb Shichiten Hakki (Falling seven times, standing up eight), perfectly aligning Maisy’s athletic journey with KATE’s "No More Rules" brand spirit.
Filmed on location at a cinematic ice rink, the production utilized specialized tracking shots and high-speed cinematography to capture the grace and intensity of Maisy’s movements. The visual style contrasts the cold, sharp environment of the ice with the bold, long-lasting textures of KATE’s makeup. Directed by Tao Lam, the film moves from intimate moments of preparation to grand, sweeping sequences of performance, emphasizing that beauty is found in resilience.
