OVERVIEW
Episode 01 marks the opening chapter of the Back to the Future online video series for MTR, setting the tone with a forward-looking perspective on city travel. Featuring Lam Fung, the film introduces the series through light humour and expressive performance, creating an approachable entry point into MTR’s vision of future urban mobility.
From a production standpoint, the episode establishes the visual rhythm and storytelling style that carry through the series. Controlled camera movement, carefully paced edits, and performance-led moments were designed for digital-first platforms, allowing the narrative to unfold naturally within a short-form online format.
As the first instalment of the campaign, Episode 01 functions as a narrative foundation, aligning creative direction and visual language to prepare audiences for the episodes that follow while reinforcing MTR’s progressive brand identity.
