This Chinese New Year campaign brings the iconic HSBC Lion to life through immersive projection technology, transforming famous locations across Hong Kong into festive countdown moments.
Animated HSBC Lion visuals are projected onto urban landmarks, creating a sense of movement as the Lion “travels” through the city. By integrating real city environments with playful animation, the campaign celebrates the collective excitement of Chinese New Year approaching, portraying Hong Kong as a vibrant, connected community.
Plan B Film managed the full execution—from location planning and projection setup to live-action capture and animation integration—delivering a dynamic, city-scale activation that blends technology, storytelling, and festive emotion for a memorable brand experience.
