Diane Be True x Director Mike|TVC Brand Campaign

Plan B Film Production presents the Diane Be True X Dir. Mike online video, a unique collaboration that brings a familiar creative voice in front of the camera.
Known for his work behind the scenes as a celebrated television director, Mike takes on the role of the main character in this project—bringing his unmistakable tone, personality, and understated acting style to the screen.

The film uses Mike’s natural, unfiltered presence to communicate the core values of Diane Be True shampoo: simplicity, authenticity, and ingredients drawn from nature. Rather than relying on traditional beauty tropes, the storytelling feels honest and grounded, allowing character and environment to lead the message.

To visually reinforce the product’s natural positioning, the production was set inside a greenhouse—an intentional choice that posed a unique challenge in Hong Kong, where true nature-style locations are difficult to find. The controlled yet organic environment allowed the team to create a lush, green visual world that reflects freshness, growth, and purity, while maintaining full production control.

This project highlights Plan B Film’s ability to rethink casting, adapt locations creatively, and align visual storytelling with brand philosophy. By combining an unexpected lead, a nature-driven setting, and a restrained, confident tone, the film delivers a distinctive and memorable presentation of Diane Be True.
