Mannings x Santa Lucy|Director’s Cut Campaign Film
Plan B Film Production presents Mannings X SANTA LUCY (Director Cut), a festive Christmas campaign featuring Lucy as Santa, bringing holiday wishes to life through Mannings.
In this heartwarming story, Lucy steps into the role of Santa to help people achieve their Christmas wishes—whether it’s caring for family, preparing thoughtful gifts, or meeting everyday health and wellness needs with solutions found at Mannings.
Beyond the on-screen warmth, the production presented a unique challenge: Lucy, as a child performer, was the core of the entire narrative, with a strictly limited four-hour shooting window. Working with a young main character required a very different production approach compared to adult-led commercials.
Every scene was carefully planned around Lucy’s availability, energy level, and performance rhythm. Blocking, camera movement, lighting, and transitions were all pre-designed to minimize retakes and ensure maximum efficiency. The shooting order was structured to capture the most performance-critical moments first, allowing the crew to work quickly while maintaining a relaxed, supportive environment for the child.
This required tight coordination across all departments—from direction and cinematography to art, wardrobe, and sound—so that Lucy could stay focused and comfortable while delivering natural, joyful performances. Flexibility and precision were essential, as timing adjustments had to be made in real time without disrupting the overall schedule.
Mannings X SANTA LUCY (Director Cut) showcases not only a festive and uplifting holiday message, but also Plan B Film Production’s ability to manage complex, time-sensitive shoots involving child talent—balancing creative storytelling with disciplined production execution.
